摘要: Cytokinins (CKs) are a group of phytohormones that play crucial role in the regulation plant growth and development. Identification enzymes corresponding genes involved CK metabolism allowed us to understand how plants synthesize CKs adjust activity optimal levels. A major accomplishment toward these goals was identification for first enzyme biosynthetic pathway, adenosine phosphate-isopentenyltransferase (IPT). In Arabidopsis thaliana Agrobacterium tumefaciens, detailed analyses IPTs were conducted through not only enzymatic characterization but also molecular structural approaches. These studies revealed basis Agrobacterium-origin IPT used efficient biosynthesis trans-zeatin promotes tumorigenesis host plants. Another landmark research CYP735A as an converts iP-nucleotide tZ-nucleotide. Furthermore, CK-activating enzyme, LOG, which catalyzes novel activation is remarkable recent achievement research. Collectively, advances have complexity entire metabolic scheme biosynthesis.
