摘要: Aim The aim of this exploratory study is to estimate the relationship between vitamin D (vit D) deficiency and active rheumatoid arthritis (RA), role supplementation in improving disease activity. Method A randomized recruitment, consent screening, open-label interventional was conducted patients who fulfilled American College Rheumatology/European League Against Rheumatism 2010 criteria for diagnosing RA on stable disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) 3 months. Serum vit levels Disease Activity Score 28 joints/C-reactive protein (DAS28-CRP) activity status were estimated at first visit. Subjects with low DAS28-CRP > 2.6 supplemented 12 weeks, assessed improvement serum levels. Results One hundred fifty mean age 49 ± 12.1 years, duration illness 78 63 months, treatment DMARDs 44 39 months recruited study. Of these, 73 (49%) subjects found have below 20 ng/mL. The received supplement 60 000 IU/week 6 followed by IU/month a total 59 (80.8%) reported end weeks treatment. Mean these showed statistically significant from 3.68 0.93 baseline 3.08 1.11 after (P = 0.002). improved 10.05 5.18 57.21 24.77 ng/mL < 0.001) during period. Conclusion Supplementation persisting contributed within short duration.
