摘要: The introduction of resonance ionization using continuous wave narrowband lasers into mass spectrometry has lead to the successful development an efficient technique for ultra trace atom determination with outstanding specifications regarding isobaric and isotopic selectivity. Due these features this compact laser-based method is just becoming competitive conventional detection techniques like accelerator or low level decay counting gives access a variety demanding investigations. Starting from high resolution atomic spectroscopy on lying Rydberg states autoionizing levels, selective number istopes becomes feasible. Experimental prerequisites as well challenging applications concerning in particular 41 Ca-determination environmental, bio-medical fundamental investigations are presented.
