摘要: A global run of a process-based methane model [Walter et al., this issue] is performed using high-frequency atmospheric forcing fields from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalyses period 1982 to 1993. Modeled emissions show high regional, seasonal, and interannual variability. Seasonal cycles are dominated by temperature in high-latitude wetlands, changes water table tropical wetlands. Sensitivity tests that globally, ±1°C lead ±20% Uniform precipitation alter about ±8%. Limitations analyzed effects sub-grid-scale variations parameters errors input data examined. Simulated wetlands compared observed growth rate anomalies. Our simulation results suggest contributions sources other than and/or sinks more important tropics north 30°N. In northern latitudes it seems large part can be explained wetland emissions. also reduced played an role negative anomaly 1992.
