摘要: The main sequence M-type stars are so faint that they have generally been observed spectroscopically only at low dispersion. With modern equipment it is possible to improve this situation, and, because of the general interest in such objects, a spectrogram flare star EVLacertae = BD + 43°43051 was obtained Palomar July 1960, covering photographic region dispersion 9 Â/mm. continuous spectrum and absorption lines visible reasonably well down about λ 4000. During exposure over six hours no fluctuations brightness were noticeable eye, probably safe assume there major activity represents normal quiescent atmosphere.
