摘要: The relationship between El Nino Modoki and the East Asian-western North Pacific summer monsoon (EA-WNPSM) has been revealed to be under influence of Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). When a pure occurs without positive IOD, strong EA-WNPSM is observed with significant anomalous low-level cyclone over western (WNP), excessive rainfall there deficient Meiyu–Baiu rainfall. In contrast, when an happens simultaneously tends much weaker. This difference attributed IOD effect. results demonstrate that usually leads South Asian heating, which further causes easterly anomalies in Pacific. These easterlies tend strengthen WNP anticyclonic vorticity leading weak EA-WNPSM. Therefore, weakens addition, numerical experiments verified cyclonic anomaly built through off-equatorial heating associated local circulation. induced by this thus
