摘要: To determine the current cardiovascular preparticipation screening practices and attitudes of team physicians for Canadian University Major Junior Hockey Athletes, a 13-question survey was distributed to lead each organization. The response rate 47% (48% [27 56] Interuniversity Sport 55% [11 20] Ontario League). Ninety-two percent reported some form screening, with 22% currently using 12-lead electrocardiogram. Substantial inter- intraorganization variability existed. Physicians not performing electrocardiogram lack evidence (45%) cost-effectiveness (28%) as their rationale. our knowledge, this is first study investigate athletic practices, highlights need national guidelines.
