摘要: This study presents a protective algorithm for discrimination and classification of short-circuit faults on parallel circuit transmission lines. The proposed is composed two stages. In the first stage, cross-differential technique employed to identify close-in internal faults. second stage assigned discriminate remote occurring at end part protected line. based travelling waves generated by open switching line breakers. Using these waves, can quickly operation breakers between external also classifies faulted phases. Moreover, it covers inter-circuit faults, in which phases both circuits get involved fault. Extensive simulation studies were performed evaluate performance. It concluded that this provides fast reliable scheme protection
