摘要: The anxiogenic action of intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) administered Mesobuthus tamulus venom (MTV) was investigated in rats. MTV (1, 3 and 5 g/rat, i.c.v.) induced a dose-related response which qualitatively comparable to that produced by yohimbine (2 mg/kp, i.p.), an established agent. Both reduced exploratory activity rears, while increasing immobility defaecation, the open-field test. Likewise, both drugs decreased number entries time spent on open arms elevated plus-maze, social interaction increased feed-latency novel environment. Rat brain levels tribulin, postulated endocoid indicator anxiety, assessed terms endogenous monoamine oxidase (MAO) A B inhibitor activity, were yohimbine. results indicate has significant is consonant with some clinical symptoms seen after scorpion sting.
