摘要: A directional biasing method enhances the print quality of coarsely scanned characters. coarse scanning device produces analog signals that are compressed by encoding common information in a run length coding and at least an edge character according to grey level indication. The data is reproduced wherein scale decoded represent finer than picture element scanned. placement dots set surrounding elements. Eight sums obtained various groups three peripheral elements corresponding eight patterns located symmetrically on both sides 4 bisecting lines, vertical, horizontal two 45° lines. particular matrix dot selected largest pattern sum among possible cases. each designed being strongly biased toward direction associated pattern.
