摘要: Ni2Si intermetallic coatings were deposited on a substrate of 420 stainless steel using high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) process. The electrochemical corrosion behaviour the in 3.5% NaCl solution was investigated by means Tafel polarisation tests and impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. Two with different thicknesses, 55 115 μm, investigated. results showed that rate thicker coating lower than one order magnitude. Local attack observed after test this coating, while still intact. thinner similar rates. In case, severely attacked test. time constants EIS spectra both which related to charge transfer processes pore resistance, respectively.
