摘要: Traditional models of children’s reading, based on fixed invariant stages, have proved less than adequate in explaining the flexibility which children approach task learning to read. One way examine emergent reading is focus child’s strategy use as a discrete measure early development. However, exploration such within domain relatively new area research. This current research adds that burgeoning debate and presents evidence young implications for theories Study examined validity verbal self-reports capturing word strategies by assessing veridicality reactivity self-reports. Two explored sensitivity rime unit frequencies how this can shift their reliance certain strategies. Three provided an in-depth examination errors capture more detailed account processes involved word-reading. Four used repeated measures study adaptability performance over one academic term. Through analysis error analysis, greater understanding using lexical non-lexical
