摘要: One consistent finding in the studies regarding treating men with prostate cancer is that high-risk disease have most to gain from treatment curative intent. Men or locally-advanced require treat- ment primary risk dying prematurely their disease. Increasingly, combined androgen deprivation therapy + radiation seen as standard a result of prospective this space, and perceived increased morbidity radical prostatectomy setting "low" cure rate monotherapy. In absence well-conducted randomized trial, there no definite evidence one superior other. The advantages are it provides excellent local control tumor without an increase morbidity, accurately stages guide further therapy, removes benign sources prostate-specific antigen so failures can be promptly identified subsequent initiated timely manner. Although several guidelines recommend over first-line treatment, evi- dence surgery inferior should remain part any informed discussion options for cancer.
