Design of a highly sensitive and selective C2H5OH sensor using p-type Co3O4 nanofibers

摘要: Abstract The Co3O4 nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning and their gas sensing characteristics investigated. sensors heat treatment of as-spun precursor fibers at 500 600 °C showed well-developed one-dimensional morphologies exhibited high responses to 100 ppm C2H5OH (Rg/Ra = 51.2 45.3; Rg, resistance in gas; Ra, air) 301 °C with negligible cross-responses CO, C3H8, H2 (Rg/Ra = 1.02–2.7). In contrast, the most morphology specimen was lost response became significantly lower when temperature increased 700 °C or ultrasonically disintegrated into primary particles. significant decrease explained discussed relation mechanism a p-type semiconductor, specimens, connecting configuration between nanoparticles nanofibers.
