In standing waters, peak snail could potentially occur seasons-May-July November-January-but seasons for mammalian schistosome cercariae April-May October-November. flowing higher number might be summer some canals winter another group canals. Canals more important sites human schistosomes than village ponds. Transmission took place mainly hot months when man-water contacts greatest. Village ponds accessible livestock bovine schistosomiasis. As new irrigation systems have been expanding this area attention should paid future schistosomiasis control programmes.
