摘要: The frequency and temperature dependence of the ultrasonic attenuation in glassy Pd–Si‐based alloys has been measured. In all compositions, room‐temperature varies as square frequency. A remarkably low loss 0.06 dB/μsec at 100 MHz for longitudinal waves is observed containing silver, a equal to lowest value reported fused silica. Below 300 K, Pd0.775Ag0.06Si0.165 shows broad peak about 25 K. This behavior similar that noted chalcogenide glasses. estimated electronic contribution too small account measured values. Present data are insufficient ascertain what causes this relaxation peak. It may be related excess specific heat previously these temperatures.
