摘要: Publisher Summary The substrate specificities of aminopeptidases in various species bacteria, parasites, and fungi have been shown to be radically different. These differences used distinguish closely related even strains the same species. aminopeptidase (arylamidase) procedure is based upon enzymatic liberation fluorescent β-naphthylamine (βNA) from a nonfluorescent L-amino-acid-β-naphthylamide. This allows quantitative qualitative measurements as fluorescence linear. Bacteria, fungi, parasites are differentiated on their ability enzymatically hydrolyze series L-amino-acid-βNAs producing specific, characteristic profile. Differentiation by specificity complements sometimes supercedes morphological cultural identification techniques. It does not suffer data interpretational difficulties that caused interfering chemical constituents electrophoretic, chromatographic, serological, or phosphorescent chapter presents preparation cell-free Enterobacteriaceae profile determination with aminopeptidases. use place an vivo cellular source enzymes, although somewhat more cumbersome, it has advantage giving complete Some amino-acid-βNAs transported into cell for hydrolysis. Both methods produce different, completely reproducible profiles.
