摘要: We have studied the C=O stretch vibration of bridge-bonded CO on Pt(111) in temperature range from 225 to 300 K. Our spectra are qualitatively different those previously reported by Hayden and Bradshaw [Surface Sci. 125 (1983) 787] that we do not observe line near 1810 cm−1 they attributed three-fold bonded CO. only a single at 1849 cm−1. As coverage is increased beyond 0.5 monolayer, linewidth decreases, reaching its minimum value ϱ=0.54. Little change frequency or integrated intensity seen. These observations tend support “fault line” models for high structure Pt(111). The 11.5±0.6 temperatures below 275 K, rising rapidly ≈ 34 This dependence cannot be explained current homogeneous broadening. attribute it inhomogeneous broadening associated with an order-disorder transition overlayer.
