摘要: Abstract Aim To determine the internalization and protective effects of potential ophthalmic formulations nanoformulated natural proteins in ex-vivo bovine corneal alkali burn model. Methods The cornea obtained were subjected to 0.5 N NaOH insult that induced inflammation as observed vivo situation. toxic nanoformulation evaluated normal using histological analysis. Internalization studies carried out imaging analysis (IVIS, PerkinElmer, USA). Results nanoformulations employed this study showed no obvious changes integrity cornea. Further, improvements light transmittance reduced observed. IVIS a dose dependant increase uptake with time. Conclusion lactoferrin SurR9-C84A (SR9) ex irritation model is first its kind, we report here non-toxic therapeutic these for topical applications.
