摘要: The structure of the coprecipitated precursor to positive electrode material, Li[Ni 1/3 Mn Co ]O 2 (NMC), is typically synthesized via a coprecipitation reaction and assumed be Ni (OH) or OOH. its products are not thoroughly understood. Here, pure phase in presence aqueous ammonia, yielding dense spherical particles. was found readily oxidize air, especially during heating. obtained product analyzed with powder X-ray diffraction thermogravimetric analysis. results indicate that undergoes oxidation oxyhydroxide phase, Heating also resulted an increase tap density oxyhydroxide; final material 2.0 g cm -3 .
