摘要: Radon concentration was measured in 133 water samples from tubewells, handpumps, dug wells and springs of the Doon Valley, Outer Himalaya, India. The observed radon values were found to vary 10 154 Bq/l whereas radium selected varied 0.11 0.75 Bq/l. Three different clusters high north-western, central south-eastern parts Valley. These be associated with tectonics (thrust/fault) uranium mineralization area. In general, groundwater positively correlated depth wells, no significant correlation between temperature, pH value, conductivity altitude samples. An attempt has also been made determine nature extent aquifers Valley on groundwater. variation within study area controlled by neotectonic activity geohydrological processes that occur impact these activities are discussed.
