摘要: Abstract Many intermetallics such as AB5, AB2, A2B show the excellent hydrogen absorbing properties. Specially, LaNi5 compound has been extensively studied for negative electrode of Ni–MH batteries. In today's use batteries, alloys must be single phase. But it is well known that difficult to make non-stoichiometric phase because its limited solid-solution range. The present study describes rapid quenching effects on range La(Ni, M)x (x=3–5) prepared by melt spinning in discussing their absorption It found with CaCu5 crystal structure extends LaNi4.65 compositional alloys. For fuel cell automobile, high content developed. Strong candidates this will Vanadium based BCC alloys, which would hard activated. Since Laves phases undergo easy activation treatment, may possible easily activated if contain phases. also Zr addition effective forming grain boundary V–Ti–Zr–Ni and improving extended future capacity.
