摘要: Abstract Childhood onset chronic kidney disease can be indolent with slow gradual changes in symptoms and complications or fulminant, leading to the need for dialysis transplantation within a short time frame. Improved identification of problems allows early intervention, which progression. Medical interventions end-stage renal have improved, allowing children take advantage lifesaving replacement treatments such as transplantation. In spite improvements treatment, causes both direct indirect insults variety organ systems has profound psychosocial effect on child family. This review article provides practical overview including definition, classification based estimated glomerular filtration rate principles management prevention/slowing progression complications. Various options therapy are explored multidisciplinary team approach help meet child's educational, emotional health is discussed.
