摘要: Abstract This work for the first time uses a three-dimensional multi-physics model to optimize performance of three kinds two-stage TECs, connected electrically in series, parallel, and separated, respectively. The optimizations are performed TEC with 30 thermoelectric elements. number ratio current searched reach optimal cooling capacity, COP, maximum temperature difference, A marked distribution is observed larger or smaller 1.00. In addition, temperature-dependent material properties proven be extremely important predicting performance. Therefore, thermal resistance models extensively adopted previous studies can not predict accurately because they assume one-dimensional constant properties. results also show that element on hot stage should than cold improving capacity found about 1.73–2.33 series configuration. further improved by supplying higher stage, ranges from 1.50 2.00.
