摘要: This study was designed to investigate the sensitivity and specificity of three methods for detecting onset cyclicity in post-partum Murrah buffaloes. The investigated were visual signs, transrectal ultrasonography, serum progesterone (P4) assay. For this study, 102 buffalo cows grouped monitoring their ovarian activity. first group buffaloes between 26 35 days post-partum. Thereafter, that calved after every 10 days sample. Thus, animals adjudged 35, 36–45, 46–55, 56–65, 66–75, 76–85, 86–95 days with an average 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 days post-partum, respectively. Visual estrus signs monitored twice daily, simultaneously, ultrasound examination carried out at interval accessing presence corpus luteum (CL). Serum P4 estimated which cyclic by examination, assay repeated 10 days. inseminated artificially, pregnancy status assessed 30 days post-insemination. In observation low (39.37 70.73%, respectively) when compared (98.80 96.47%) (single, 97.59 97.59%; double, 100 100%), Furthermore, single double comparable. conclusion, reports are more efficient than
