摘要: Although a great deal of research exists on gender and agriculture, few studies investigate the implications reduced disparities in households for technical efficiency. In this article, I compare levels efficiency achieved plots operated by with different disparities. Using plot-level data from 2011–2012 Bangladesh Integrated Household Survey drawing indicators derived Women's Empowerment Agriculture Index, estimate stochastic frontier production function model, which includes women's empowerment agriculture as an exogenous determinant inefficiency. find that within (measured terms gap between spouses) are associated higher This result extends to women jointly manage their spouses, well those do not actively manage.
