摘要: Macular telangiectasia type 2 (MacTel 2) is a disease of unknown cause with characteristic alterations the macular capillary network and neurosensory atrophy. By use microperimetry for mapping functional changes, deep paracentral scotomata have been identified as consequence process. Structure-function correlation revealed well-defined progressive focal photoreceptor loss to be underlying in MacTel 2. Therefore, increase time determined by testing may represent suitable outcome parameter future interventional clinical trials.
