摘要: In this paper, we focus on participatory evaluation in the context of international development and specifically emerging empirical knowledge base. a prior review critique research (Cousins Chouinard 2012), examined 121 studies, with only 21 (17 %) situated contexts. However, circumstances challenges for are distinct from those found developed countries therefore warrant separate consideration. To provide more focused detailed understanding contexts, paper augment our initial sample to total 40 studies published over past 16.5 years. Based an analysis related theoretical conceptual contributions identify discuss eight emergent themes: multiplicity relationships, consequences stakeholder selection, characterization participation, contextual complexity, methodological requirements, cultural influence, politics power learning capacity building. We conclude some reflections agenda research.
