In Situ One-Step Method for Preparing Carbon Nanotubes and Pt Composite Catalysts and Their Performance for Methanol Oxidation

摘要: Carbon nanotubes and a Pt composite (Pt/MWCNT) with nanoparticles well-dispersed on multiwalled carbon (MWCNTs) were prepared using an in situ one step method. In mixture consisting of MWCNTs, ethylene glycol, H2PtCl6, 4,4-dipyridine, dimethyl formamide (DMF), generated loaded onto the MWCNT wall optimal dispersions. The dispersion state chemical organic species Pt/MWCNT investigated by TEM, XRD, XPS, UV−vis, TGA. Electrochemical measurement demonstrates that as-prepared has high electrocatalytic activity for methanol oxidation is attributed to higher sidewalls MWCNTs.
