Affective Factors on Oral Care and its Documentation in Intensive Care Units

摘要: Introduction: Oral hygiene is one of the main tasks Intensive Care Unit’s Nurses. This study aimed to determine affecting factors oral cares interventions and its documentation in Kerman University Medical Sciences intensive care units. Methods: In this cross sectional study, all nurses units Medical1 hospitals were surveyed 131 responded. questionnaires, underlying nursing reports assessment check list used collect data. Data analyzed using descriptive analytic statistics PASW 18 software. Results: rinse was most frequent method (82.4%) solution chlorhexidine (43.2%). Documentation done by but information about methods outcomes not provided. There a direct relation between work experience (r=0.332; p<0.05) priority (rho=0.349, p<0.001) with quality. Viewing as difficult unpleasant task had an indirect (p<0.05). Conclusion: need for education informing importance evidence-based care.
