摘要: In the past two decades, functional neuroimaging techniques have revolutionized our understanding of normal brain functioning (Binder, Desai, et al., 2009; D'Esposito, 2000) and contributed to evaluation treatment patients with neurological disorders (Bookheimer, 2007; Detre, 2006; Freilich & Gaillard, 2010). Understanding how when use localization methods such as fMRI in combination or an alternative more traditional mapping intracarotid amobarbital (Wada) test is critical for clinical epilepsy surgery candidates. detects task-correlated event-related changes blood flow associated underlying neuronal activity now considered a noninvasive Wada testing language 2011). Functional MRI provides information not only about lateralization higher cognitive functions but also outcome prediction allowing epileptologists, neurosurgeons, make informed decisions prior undertaking resective surgery.
