摘要: A patient with a chronic discharging sinus or an extensive adherent scar is never safe from the risk of malignant change. Examples are still occurring more than thirty years after end first world war. The possibility should be kept in mind by those concerned long-term treatment wounds this kind. Reasonable prophylactic measures would be: excision unstable scars with, if necessary, their replacement suitable pedicle flaps having good blood supply; and earlier amputation osteomyelitic persists for several does not yield to treatment. Supervision doubtful cases frequent relaxed passage years. Warty changes indolent ulceration regarded grave suspicion investigated biopsy. Any increase pain discharge association receive prompt attention. Finally, change supervenes, as speedy radical any other cancer. At least thirteen our twenty-four patients have died
