Managing Semantic Metadata for the Semantic Grid

摘要: Research on the Semantic Web and Web/Grid resource description, discovery composition is booming but there currently little effort a systematic integrated approach to management of resources’ Metadata (SMD), nor key tools that add, store reuse SMD. In this paper we propose generic framework for managing SMD, in which ontologies are used metadata modeling Ontology Language (OWL) semantic representation. Generated SMD archived knowledge repository enhanced with Description Logic (DL) based reasoning capability. A raft tools, mechanisms APIs developed support lifecycle, including generation, annotation, storage reuse. Both its supporting technologies have been applied large existing e-Science project, has produced working prototype. While can be exploited many ways regards discovery, provenance trust, illustrate their usage through advisor assists assembly configuration context engineering design search optimisation.
