摘要: Background Waddlia chondrophila (W. chondrophila) is an emerging agent of respiratory and reproductive disease in humans cattle. The organism a member the order Chlamydiales, and shares many similarities at genome level growth studies with other well-characterised zoonotic chlamydial agents, such as Chlamydia abortus (C. abortus). current study investigated characteristics innate immune responses human and ruminant epithelial cells response to infection withW. chondrophila. Methods Human (HEp2) were infected for 24h. CXCL8 release was significantly elevated each cell lines by active-infection liveW. chondrophila, but not exposure UV-killed organisms. Inhibition either p38 or p42/44 MAPK significantly inhibited stimulation release lines. To determine the pattern recognition receptor through which was stimulated, wildtype HEK293 express no TLR2, TLR4, NOD2 only negligible NOD1 were infected live A significant increase observed. Conclusions/Significance W. actively infects replicates within both ruminant epithelial cells stimulating release. Release inhibition of either MAPK indicating role this pathway response toW. infection.W. secretion HEK293 cells indicates that receptors are essential innate immune
