摘要: Abstract Alumina and zirconia ceramic particles exhibit high hardness excellent wear resistance at temperature, hence are used as reinforcement phases in some plasma sprayed coatings. In this study, the interface evolution of a zirconia/alumina eutectic phase transition plasma-sprayed coating were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy transmission combined with focused-ion beam energy dispersive X-ray to analyze microstructure composition interface. The results showed that consisted alumina (outer) columnar (inner) before after spraying process. inner part martensitic transformation t-type stripe-like m-type zirconia. After spraying, between changed significantly, which formed new oxide layer. mechanism particle layer formation alumina/zirconia
