摘要: The importance of copper as an essential element can be estimated by the wide range proteins and enzymes playing different roles in biological systems. In last decades many bioinorganic studies were developed on mimetic complexes copper-dependent proteins, order to verify interrelations between structural functional properties active centers. Among most studied ion ligand, diimine compounds have deserved special attention due their flexibility, facility preparation, ability stabilize both oxidation states this metal. our laboratory, we been investigating some Schiff base mimics with emphasis aspects, trying elucidate mechanisms reaction, based proposed intermediary species, addition molecular shapes. Particularly, copper-zinc superoxide dismutase, monooxigenases oxidases exhibiting dicopper sites are discussed work.
