摘要: In the marine industry, it is important to improve performance of tida turbines reduce power generation costs. Modification existing tidal turbine models necessary boost performance. The main objective present study investigate hydrodynamic a model variable length blade by modifying baseline rotor using element momentum theory (BEMT). QBlade BEMT simulation results were validated with available published data and are in good agreement. Furthermore, key parameters (i.e. thrust, moment, coefficient) output predicted code for different configurations rotor. compared standard conventional fixed model. Based on from simulations, increase lengths, parameters, particularly peak coefficients, observed be improved up 10%. extraction was also enhanced 79% below-rated velocities without any loss at rated condition. Hence, more efficient models.
