摘要: In albino rats a left-sided cortical cold injury was studied histologically and by131I-RISA-autoradiography. The penetration of14C-urea and3H-water into brain skeletal muscle determined at various time intervals after intravenous injection of the markers, given in saline one experimental series, urovert another series. There 4% increase water content cortex white matter on side lesion. The14C-urea uptake by uninjured tissue showed demonstrable blood-brain barrier effect; injured it characterized breakdown barrier. impaired function also apparent from leakage exudate lesion, spreading underlying as shown RISA-autoradiography. The3H-water not impeded any delayed3H-water suggested decreased local blood flow. effect mainly dilution plasma radioactivity; dehydration tissues demonstrated.
