摘要: A feasibility study has been conducted to determine whether nuclear waste calcine and a crystalline ceramic matrix can be fabricated by hot pressing into composite form with suitable leaching resistance thermal stability. It was found that hard, dense could formed using simulated commercial fuel reprocessing of ..cap alpha..-quartz small amount lead borosilicate glass added as consolidation aid. Its density, loading are comparable the glasses being considered for fixation wastes. The hot-pressed offers closer approach thermodynamic stability improved (in monolithic form) compared forms. Recommendations further optimization given.
