Caregiving Experiences of Latino Families With Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder.

摘要: Objective Prior research has documented caregiving difficulties in families of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, Latino may encounter unique challenges. The purpose this study was to understand the experiences ASD, including daily activities, coping strategies, and service utilization. Method Fifteen parents ASD were interviewed. interviews transcribed for analysis identify themes population. Results many similar issues as non-Latino but also that affect Four identified: dealing diagnosis, stigma isolation from family community, understanding role mothers changing routines, utilizing services. Conclusion To meet needs families, services need be provided culturally sensitive context address children's within units.
