摘要: Traffic signals control and coordination is a critical function on today's busy roadways. Typical traffic have been shifting from fixed cycle timing to the adaptive cycling regime using variety of sensors. However, several shortcomings such as; vehicle approaching signal needs be at certain fix positon sensor, sensitivity sensors, requirement direct communication between light etc., are identified in existing sensors based approaches. We propose technique for realizing by exploiting Direction Arrival (DOA) Timing Advance (TADV) information transmitted cell-phones, carried car drivers passengers, Smart Antenna installed cellular base stations. The simulation results simplified scenario show that proposed method offers an overall eleven-percent improvement travel time thirty-four-percent reduction Red-light wait time.
