摘要: Objective:A population-based survey was conducted in Pelotas, southern Brazil, to assess the specific and combined contribution of life events socioeconomic factors on overall prevalence minor psychiatric disorders (MPD).Methods:The study covered a representative sample population aged fifteen years or older living urban area city. Using multi-stage sampling, total thirty census tracts 600 households were selected. A standardized questionnaire assessed presence MPD (using Self-Reporting Questionnaire—SRQ-20), occurrence (death relative, relative with chronic disease, loss employment, divorce, migration, accident, robbery/assault), factors.Results:The 22.7 percent (17.9% males 26.5% females) increased age.
