摘要: The preparation, characterization, and luminescence of yttrium-based phosphors such as europium activated yttrium oxide (red) terbium aluminate (green) by sol-gel processes is presented. sols hydroxide were synthesized various routes. It was found that the obtained through an ion exchange column pure without any cross contamination. aluminum prepared from chloride ammonium hydroxide. A number gel samples mixing stoichiometric amounts Y(OH) 3 Al(OH) to obtain Y 2 Al 5 O 12 , 4 9 YAlO with trace rare earth, RE(OH) gels activators. These dried at 30 80°C. From thermal analyses, all possible temperature transitions identified. After calcination different temperatures durations, these phosphor powder characterized for crystallization, spectral energy distribution, morphology. lower (< 1000°C) fully crystallized. average particle size in range 1 μm. data, D 0 → 7 F 1,2 corresponding Eu 3+ 1...6 (Tb ) yttrium-aluminum-garnet (YAG) matrices luminescent efficiencies comparable commercially available having larger particles (6 10 μm). preparation other YAG :RE SiO (RE = Tm, Ce, Tb, Eu) studies materials low voltages field emission display applications are progress.
