摘要: Multilayer thin film reflectors, such as mirrors and reflective polarizers, are described in which form birefringent optical layers incorporated into a plurality of repeat units the film. The exhibit birefringence result microscopic structures that have dimension is small compared to wavelength light but large molecular distances. within out-of-plane indices refraction tailored produce desired effects function incidence angle for p-polarized light. multilayer reflectors can be made by conventional vacuum deposition techniques using known inorganic materials, also entirely with polymeric materials co-extrusion or other processes.
