Research in exploration geoscience: The AMIRA model

摘要: The paper summarises the exploration related R&D that has been managed by AMIRA/APIRA and gives details of complex, market oriented process used to develop new projects.The is illustrated three case studies taken from more than 70 projects completed.The Gold Deposits North Queensland Project conducted James Cook University studied various styles gold mineralization. Rock Magnetism project undertaken at CSIRO Division Exploration Geoscience allowed both general specific research themes be in parallel with confidential proprietary investigations on sponsors' drill core. Palaeogeographic Mapping BMR Continental Geology provided sponsors palaeogeographic maps including interpretation structural information time slices.Some benefits approach are discussed as well some difficulties which arise ensuring companies obtain appropriate their sponsorship.
