摘要: Abstract A brief review of windbreak aerodynamics is presented and tests model shelter fences in a simulated atmospheric boundary layer are described. Measurements mean wind velocity, RMS velocity fluctuations energy spectra for the streamwise component were made lee permeability 0%, 20%, 34% 50%. Results compared where possible with existing field wind-tunnel data, due regard uncertainty hot-wire anemometer measurements bluff body wake. The turbulence define leeward flow regions which dominated respectively by bleed displacement flow. For these two separate empirical relationships between intensity given. In 20% permeable fence gave best overall reduction velocity. However, practice it may often be more cost-effective to build relatively higher greater permeability.
