摘要: In a great number of microwave applications highly directive antenna with main beam scanned to certain angle is required. To achieve this aperture illumination progressive phasing used. The two primary ways do are reflectors and arrays. reflector uses its geometry create the desired phase across aperture, while array employs distinct elements fed phasing. Reflector antennas advantageous in fact that they typically exhibit large bandwidth low loss. disadvantage geometrical constraint it imposes on design. most popular reflector, parabolic also exhibits inherently high cross polarization levels. Microstrip patch arrays lightweight, low-profile capable levels but have small fairly loss at frequencies. more attractive features combined reflectarray. steps taken design microstrip reflectarray using patches variable size outlined. Measured theoretical results shown for finished design, several important performance criteria compared
