摘要: Object The astrocytic contribution to the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in metastatic and primary malignant brain tumors is not well understood. To better understand vascular properties associated with tumors, authors systematically analyzed component of BBB neoplasms. Methods Twelve patients who underwent resection or neoplasms (4 lesions, 2 low-grade astrocytomas, anaplastic 4 glioblastoma multiforme) were included. Clinical, MRI, operative, histopathological immunohistochemical (glial fibrillary acidic protein [GFAP], CD31, aquaporin [AQ4]) findings analyzed. Results Intratumoral regions MRI enhancement corresponded breakdown normal astrocyte–endothelial cell relationship deposits gliomas.
