摘要: The best-fit distribution of the tsunami height was investigated along Eastern Coast Korean Peninsula. Firstly, heights corresponding to nine probable undersea earthquakes were obtained coastline using numerical simulation. method L-moment ratio diagram used identify probability density function caused by each earthquake. result indicates generalized Pareto is representing regardless characteristics earthquakes. This particularly because area high and its relative magnitude adjacent locations similar for most simulations cases. In addition, this study further reason why not represented log-normal (LN) as suggested previous studies. Result investigation that log-normality can be preserved when length a coastal line long such homogeneity wave propagation paths reaching at different preserved. subsequently secures central limit theorem making have LN distribution. As increases, deviation from increases.
