摘要: Abstract The Pearl River Delta (PRD) is one of the most industrialized and urbanized regions in China. In order to assess pollution status mercury (Hg) PRD river system, distribution total (HgT) methylmercury (Me-Hg) sediment from a large named Dongjiang (DJ) was for first time investigated. HgT concentrations increased upstream downstream area at sites DJ were significantly higher than background values, which suggested that contaminated with Hg, especially DJ. Me-Hg ranged 0.56 to10.62 ng/g, correlated organic matter. determine potential Hg contamination sources, typical sediments different parts chosen isotope analysis. results showed mass-dependent fraction (MDF) varied (δ202Hg: −2.35 to− 0.60‰), mass-independent (MIF) also considerably (Δ199Hg: −0.02 − 0.27‰). samples highest located industrial had δ202Hg (− 1.14‰ − 0.60‰) measured values insignificant MIF −0.04 − 0.01‰). Meanwhile, lowest (− 2.16‰ − 1.55‰) Δ199Hg (− 0.20 − 0.27‰) values. Unlike above two cases are urban area, have relative lower MDF −2.35‰ − 1.96‰) small but significant −0.10‰ − 0.08‰) HgT. We demonstrated dominant sources could be categorized as regional background, sources. our study, we stable method serve an effective tool tracing environment.
